Why have we founded STAG?
Version 1 : After seeing traders encountering substantial capital losses on very few losing streaks, and not reaching their potential just by razor edge while working extremely hard on their trading bell to bell, we knew there must be a solution to improve quality of their life.
We thought there must be a way, an angle that we can’t see because of our blind spot, that would ameliorate the situation and turn around your trading while not spending 3-5 years researching your own strategies.
Similar to Stag sheding its antlers , we put our “antlers” down and reevaluate our strategies with the continuous improvement mindset.

"At STAG, we founded our company with a mission in mind: to help traders succeed. We saw too many hard-working individuals struggling to make consistent profits, despite putting in long hours and dedicating themselves to learning new strategies. We knew there had to be a better way.

Founder
Martin Sabucha
Martin is here to make you outperform the markets, without sacrificing risk management. Martin’s speciality is pushing the frontier and always looking for unique ideas that he, later on, transforms into code and algorithms, builds the prototypes, and by that paves the way for new revolutionary ideas.
After graduating with a degree in Electronic Engineering, he had a keen interest in computational finance. Moving up with his trading methods, encountering ups and downs on his road he became captivated by the idea of consistent returns and started looking for trading vehicles and forms of executions that can deliver smooth equity curves. After switching from a discretionary/manual approach to a data-driven/algorithmic in 2018, Martin has participated in multiple quantitative trading competitions, qualifying in the 2019 worldquant championship where he found his passion for algorithmic trading strategies.

Michal Tkac
Mike is here to make sure that every bit of day-to-day operations run smoothly and precisely like a Swiss watch and that our algorithms are constantly working 24/7 cranking and iterating to find the best trading strategies on the market.
Mike’s meticulous attention to detail makes him an impeccable programmer and an even better analyst.Mike has a background in both electrical engineering as well software engineering. Mike got into coding and systematic trading through software engineering while designing communication frameworks.

Jozef Mlaka
Jozef’s main duty is to overlook the security of the framework from the strategic perspective as well as data handling and architecture. His in-depth knowledge both in software engineering and machine learning is helping the company thrive and push the threshold of the start-up and therefore punch above its weight class through the new bespoke cutting edge solutions.
R&D developer working in computer vision, particularly in the biometry field. While the main focus is computer vision, there are a lot of inspirations and innovations from existing techniques that we can transfer to the finance field. In addition, gained a lot of technical skills in development, deployment and maintenance from participation in Microsoft Imagine Cup.
